To earn affiliate income as an affiliate marketer you mainly need to direct traffic to the product owner’s pitch page, allowing them to convert the prospect into a buyer.  The more targeted you are with your traffic promotions, the higher your conversion rate will be.

There are many things you can promote as an affiliate. On Amazon, for instance, you can promote anything tangible (and a few digital download to boot).  If you want to be in the paintball niche, you can include links using your Amazon associate (affiliate) ID to sell specific paintball guns, paintballs, and attire.

As I have mentioned before you can go to affiliate network sites like ClickBank or PayDotCom and get a unique affiliate ID to promote an endless supply of information products.

With affiliate marketing, you don’t have to worry about developing ideas and creating products.  You don’t have to deal with customer service follow-ups or continually process more products for the marketplace.

Alot of product owners provide a toolbox to help you sell their product.  The toolbox usually includes readymade emails, web reviews, and banner ads you can use with your own link embedded in them for instant success.

Most Internet marketers will eventually blur the lines of product owner and affiliate marketer.  Product owners continually use their list of buyers to promote affiliate items, and affiliates often build such a good reputation in a niche that they’re urged to come out with a product of their own.

There are really no limits to the amount of income you can earn as an affiliate marketer. You can market any number of niches and work as much or as little as you want.  Some affiliates earn six figures or more, but even a beginner affiliate can earn enough to pay the bills each month – and even have enough left over to take a vacation or buy a new pool.

A good place to get started would be ClickBank. ClickBank is an affiliate network–this means lots of people are selling their own stuff through ClickBank and by signing up there you put yourself in a position to become an affiliate for them. Later on, as you grow your list, you can even put your own products up and have other people promote your product for you.

Just a few tips:

1: Being an affiliate means running your own business. Treat it like one, take it seriously and you can make serious money. Give it the time and attention it deserves, this isn’t a get-rich-quick business… no matter what you may have been led to believe.

2: Promoting only higher quality products will make you more credible. If you wouldn’t consider buying it, chances are no one else would either… for good reason.

3: Find something you can really stand behind. Preferably in a market you know and can appreciate. Its easier to promote something if you have a passion for it.

4: Thou Shalt Not SPAM!! don’t do it, ever, for any reason. If anyone suggests you should…. runaway, runaway very fast.

Aside from a tiny bit of fluff here and there (not much), I’ve had zero gripes about the content I’m learning in Bring the Fresh. In fact, I’m learning some amazing stuff – things I’d always wanted to know and I’m learning to think in a whole new way about marketing!

The two products I’ve been this excited about are Info Product Killer and Bring the Fresh – and oddly enough, they both teach a couple of the same ideas, but Bring the Fresh pushed the envelope one step further for me. So one day I was reading a forum and a product owner posted his sales page for Info Product Killer (IPK), wanting someone to review it and I checked it out. I’m such a skeptic that I never buy anyone’s info products unless I have a personal recommendation, but I paid full price for this – over $100 at that time.

I was so pleasantly surprised and patting myself on the back for making a wise purchasing decision (because I tend to beat myself up if I buy something that turns out to be a scam). The product owner, Craig Kaye, walks you through his own systems live on video – not using questionable, possibly Photoshopped screen shots.

He taught me how to use a system where I earn affiliate cash month after month promoting tangible items found at Amazon.com – and I’m a BIG Amazon customer myself. What I love about this is everyone shops Amazon (or knows about it) and they sell everything under the sun. Each month, using the IPK system, I launch new tiny websites that I “set and forget” and it pulls in sales.

Trying to earn affiliate money is difficult if you only get a guide in PDF format. But with Info Product Killer, you get accompanying video tutorials to guide you through the entire process. And he’s a very transparent marketer, too – he shows you his very own websites, so that you can take a look at what and how he’s doing it. At the very least, visit the website for Info Product Killer and watch his video story. It’ll inspire you to follow suit.

I decided to review it as a legitimate way to earn affiliate cash and I downloaded it, installed it (easily) and began using it on one of my Amazon blogs where I promote Christmas items. Amazon blogs are cool because stuff sells all year round, but at Christmastime, you see a major boost to your income.

I was able to schedule the WP Robot tool to post for me on a regular basis – and the posts look good, too! They’re based on the product name, and what’s very cool to me is that it uses the Amazon reviews and posts them as blog comments! So you have instant social proof integrated into your blog. I’ve noticed a HUGE change in the amount of keywords that my blog is found for now, too.

And you can use it for SO many different programs where you can earn affiliate income – from ClickBank to Amazon and everything between. And here’s another perk: you don’t have to buy any portion of the tool you don’t plan on using! For instance, I was able to specific buy the Amazon section but I didn’t have to buy other elements I wasn’t using. That’s awesome for affiliates starting out on a budget. Go check out WP Robot and see if it fits in with your current or future affiliate pursuits. It may even freshen up a stale blog you’ve had sitting like it’s done for so many people that I know!
